UAE team visits Beijing to hammer out agenda of the GCC-China sustainable development forum in Abu Dhabi

A UAE delegation has visited China to prepare for the GCC-China sustainable development forum Abu Dhabi will host on 11-12 December 2012 under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister.

The delegation, which comprised representatives from the Foreign Ministry and the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research (ECSSR), met top officials at the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China to discuss arrangements for holding the two-day meeting.

The Chinese officials welcomed the UAE hosting of the forum in Abu Dhabi, expressing Beijing's sincere desire to further boost its relations with the UAE for the best interest of the two friendly countries.

While in the Chinese capital, the delegation visited the China Fund for Peace and Development, a key participant in the forum, to explore prospects of joint cooperation.

A high-level delegation of 200 government official and representatives of more than 30 private companies of different sectors is expected to attend the meeting.
