The Egyptian Prime Minister Receives the ECSSR Commemoration Shield and the Book “With United Strength”

ECSSR Participates in the Cairo International Book Fair 2020

The Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research (ECSSR) is participating in the Cairo International Book Fair 2020, in its 51styear, at the Egypt Center for International Conferences and Exhibitions, Cairo. The Fair was launched under the slogan "Egypt–Africa: A Culture of Diversity" and is being held from January 22 to February 04. 

The Fair was opened by Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, the Egyptian Prime Minister, who received the ECSSR Commemoration Shield and a copy of the book "With United Strength: His Highness Shaikh Zayid Bin Sultan Al Nahyan: The Leader and the Nation" in its eighth edition, in the presence of the Egyptian Minister of Culture, Enas Abdel Dayem.

The ECSSR is participating in the event with its publications that address many strategic and intellectual issues of concern to the UAE and regional arenas. The Center’s participation comes in line with its policy aimed at encouraging reading by making it a lifestyle as well as its keenness to meet with intellectuals, researchers, and readers at the Fair. On this occasion, the ECSSR announced a 40% discount on all its publications at its pavilion, located in Hall no. 3, no. (C39).

The ECSSR believes that it is very important to participate in the cultural events taking place in the Arab world, especially the Cairo International Book Fair, which is one of the most important cultural events in the region. The Fair has become an important cultural platform that supports the publishing of books in the Arab world.

The ECSSR is participating in the Fair with various political, economic, social, and cultural publications, including the book "Women and Development," the latest book of His Excellency prof. Jamal Sanad Al-Suwaidi, Director General of the ECSSR. In this book, he reviews women’s status in the United Arab Emirates. The book focuses on the important role of women in the development process, specifically its evolution and challenges faced. The book covers the developments that the GCC countries in general and the UAE in particular have witnessed in empowering women and promoting their role and status in society. It also identifies the political, cultural, economic, and social factors that affect Gulf women’s participation in the GCC labor force.

The ECSSR pavilion is showcasing other distinguished publications such as the 8thedition of "With United Strength: His Highness Shaikh Zayid Bin Sultan Al Nahyan: The Leader and the Nation, " which explores the journey and the unique path of the late Founding Father Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan (May God rest his soul in peace), and his role in establishing the Union State; “Mohamed bin Zayed and Education,” which sheds light on the insightful vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces (may God protect him), in developing the educational process in the United Arab Emirates; and "The Mirage" written by His Excellency  Prof. Jamal Sanad Al-Suwaidi, Director General of the ECSSR, which was translated into several languages and won the Sheikh Zayed Book Award at its tenth session, 2015–2016, in the category of Contribution to the Development of the NationsThe Miragereveals the falsehood of political Islam movements. Many other books, series, and periodicals published by the ECSSR over its 25-year journey are also on display.
