UAE the Model

The UAE is one of the most distinguished good governance levels in the region and the world. The UAE augured its unique model of the relation between the wise leadership and the people. With an efficient governmental action and an exceptional capacity to interact with development and openness towards technological advances and innovative ideas, the UAE made sure to preserve its identity and cultural and civilizational specificity. This has made the UAE one of the few countries in the world that managed to establish a balanced development model combining authenticity and modernity, responding to the present’s needs without undermining capacity for future growth. It is no coincidence that this UAE model has been praised at the international level.

In this respect, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai wrote an article published in the UAE papers yesterday explaining how the healthy relation between the leadership and the people should be. He highlighted the qualities transparency, credibility, positive interaction and achieving the citizen’s needs as main aspects governing this relation.

With Substantive significance His Highness the Sheikh said “The changes reflect what we have learned from events in our region over the past five years. In particular, we have learned that failure to respond effectively to the aspirations of young people, who represent more than half of the population in Arab countries, is like swimming against the tide. Without the energy and optimism of youth, societies cannot develop and grow; indeed, such societies are doomed.”

These brief expressions show that the wise leadership of the UAE has the right understanding of events and the capacity to effectively interact and fend off crises and repercussions. It also proved to be efficient in using opportunities and reaping their benefits to the best interest of the development of the UAE and its people.

Therefore, the establishment of the Ministries for happiness, tolerance and future and the appointment of young ministers, in addition to the changes and structural adjustments in some ministries and government bodies in charge of education, health education and human resources.
With the appointment of a young government, the UAE is making headway by taking unprecedented initiatives in a set of development areas. This initiatives are reflective of the UAE’s commitment to the development process in preparation for the future. Hence the government’s interest in boosting the development model so that the UAE achieves its 2021 vision of becoming a leading country at all fields.
