The United Arab Emirates is so proud of its sons. It is conscious that they are the real wealth, and that investing in them is the best investment, and preparation for the future. The wise leadership in the UAE believes that well-qualified human capital is the real resource for society.

This was confirmed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces (may God protect him)during a recent inauguration of the “Presidential Guard National Service Academy at Seih Hafair Specialised training Camp. Speaking at the the state-of-the-art fully-equipped school,His Highness the Sheikh underscored that the UAE under the wise leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan (may God save him) strongly believes in the central role attached to its human resources in all fields to promote and elevate the UAE’s position among all countries of the world. His Highness highlighted that “the UAE adopts a firm principle of investing in human resources as the country’s key asset”. He made it clear that investing in the human capital is the “real investment”.

The UAE endeavor to develop its human capital dates back to the establishment of union by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan (may God rest his soul) who inculcated in the in the UAE society in general the idea that man is the real national resource. The late Sheikh kept saying that the individual human forms the basis for any civilization process and that he is the pivot of real progress. The late Sheikh added that “no matter how many schools, hospitals and bridges we build, these material entities remain without spirit. The real spirit behind progress is the human spirit, the capable man with his intellect and abilities to safeguard these entities and to advance along with them.”

In addition to the belief of the wise UAE leadership in the centrality of the human role in achieving comprehensive development, it also believes that the citizen is he who defends the homeland and protects its national assets against any dangers. This was affirmed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan – at the same occasion- when he said that “the UAE’s leadership willingness to modernize and upgrade capabilities of the armed forces is not limited to the procurement of the latest equipment and arms technology, but also to preparing the human resources that are, capable of accurately and efficiently dealing with the latest weapons and defense techniques, in different circumstances”.

The participation of the UAE and its brave soldiers in defending Yemen, is only part of its full awareness that Gulf and Arab security are inseparable, and a confirmation that standing alongside brothers and friends is part of the authentic culture and the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan (may God rest his soul). In this respect, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan told the recruits: “For decades, we have been living in an unstable region that witnessed tensions and crises, and we are not separate from it , but thanks to the grace of Allah the Almighty and to the vigilance and awareness of our security services, we safeguarded our security and stability and we took initiative to support our brothers in the Gulf and other brotherly countries in order to deter threats before they go out of control”. This firm UAE commitment is the best proof of the entrenched and unwavering culture that shows that the UAE’s wise leadership has a strong will and determination to go forward defending the national achievements and security against regional or international challenges.
