Consistent Policy toward Brothers Countries

The words expressed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces – during his meeting with a Saudi Youth Business Council delegation at Al-Bahr Palace on Monday – demonstrate the strong ties that exist between the UAE and Gulf Arab countries. This also demonstrates the country’s keenness for greater cooperation to serve the people of the region. During the meeting, His Highness emphasized that “the UAE always welcomes its brethren and friends for greater cooperation and benefiting from each other’s experiences to attain progress and development.”

His Highness’ meeting with the Saudi Youth Business Council presents a positive image of the UAE’s approach toward brotherly countries. First, it is fully aware of its economic and development potential for both sides and the benefits it can bring to all parties. This can help achieve the people’s aspirations for a good living and a position among the most developed nations. His Highness emphasized this when he said: “Both KSA and the UAE have great economic and developmental potential. We can boost the utilization of this potential through their cooperation with each other.”

Second, the UAE is always ready to share its development experiences and is keen to benefit from others. The country gave the Saudi Council’s members the opportunity to visit its public and private organizations so that they benefit from their experiences. The Council also discussed prospects of partnerships with renowned Emirati businessmen and explored possibilities of trade and industrial collaboration. His Highness encouraged the Saudi Youth Business Council delegation to observe the successful initiatives in both the countries and strive to find partnerships that benefit both the sides.

Third, in view of the success achieved by the UAE in youth empowerment, it strives to share its experiences considering that development nowadays requires policies and programs based on innovation and creativity which are the tools that the youth can utilize. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan encouraged young businessmen to show perseverance and make more efforts to acquire the experience that advance them toward innovation and creativity.

The UAE’s approach toward its brotherly countries, in the GCC and Arab world, has been consistent, based on the principles of its foreign policy. This has been the case since its foundation was laid by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan (may God bless his soul). “Our country is an inseparable part of the Arab nation which is united by religion, history, language, hopes, fears and common destiny. You are but responsible for sharing your nation’s hopes and fears. Your leadership should never be remiss in giving the good it acquires to its nation's people,” he once said.
