Confidence in the Ability of Emiratis

  • 19 March 2014

His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, while receiving the UAE Handball Team recently, reaffirmed his confidence in the ability of Emiratis to achieve good results with efficiency and professionalism. His was referring to the significant achievements of Emirati athletes. His Highness’ statement reflects the vision of our wise leadership under the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan (may God protect him).

This vision is based on absolute confidence in the ability of Emiratis to prosper in all spheres of activities. The citizens of the UAE have proved that they are capable of making greatest achievements and overcoming the most difficult challenges. They have competed strongly at home and abroad because they have been provided with appropriate facilities that have helped them innovate and achieve excellence at all levels.

The UAE continuously strives to provide its nationals with all support that help them achieve excellence, whether they are in the field of education, sports or scientific research. They are constantly given the opportunity to achieve highest international standards in developing human resource. The leadership ensures that citizens live in good health, get advanced education and get opportunities at home and abroad. They also live in an environment and a culture that is characterized by openness, tolerance and moderation, and has a deep affiliation for the homeland and absolute loyalty for the leadership.

Such a system is producing good human beings who help the community and the country. Such an individual contributes actively to the process of development in a country such as the UAE, which always aspires for the top position. Our wise leadership, since the days of late Founder of the UAE, the Late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan (may God bless his soul), has given priority to human resource and makes nationals the focus of all development programs and policies. They are regarded as the most valuable asset.

The words of Late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan still echo in this regard. “The real asset of any advanced nation is its people, especially the educated ones, and the prosperity and success of the people are measured by the standard of their education,” he used to say. Undoubtedly, when UAE citizens feel confident of the wise leadership, they make greater efforts in schools, universities, companies, factories, sports competitions and other affairs of the nation. They are always keen to occupy first place at Arab, regional and global levels so that the UAE moves forward steadily and confidently.
