A Bright Picture of Cohesion and Stability

  • 30 July 2014

People’s love and affection for the UAE’s wise leadership has been a key feature of the country since its inception. This gets manifested more clearly on occasions of national and religious significance. The Eid Al-Fitr celebrations held across the country paint a bright picture of cohesion between leadership and people of the UAE and the state of safety, security, and stability under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan (may God protect him).

Their Highnesses, Members of the Supreme Council and Rulers of the Emirates and His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, performed Eid prayers alongside nationals in various mosques of the emirates. They opened their doors to receive well-wishers belonging to all segments of the society and age groups and those who had gathered to congratulate and express loyalty to the wise leadership, headed by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

They thanked the leadership for the care provided to the people and renewed their pledge to work for the UAE’s stability and safeguarding the country against any attempts to disrupt its progress so that the citizens enjoy best standard of living in the world. The image of children, youth and the elderly lining up to offer congratulations to Their Highnesses the Rulers of Emirates, and to His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, added to the manifestations of love for the leadership. It presents a profound sense that the country is headed in the right direction and that, God willing, the future will be better than the present.

Besides, the dignified appearance of mosques in the UAE, both during the holy month of Ramadan and Eid Al Fitr prayers, shows the civilized mannerisms followed in the country. It shows the attention given by our wise leadership to mosques, whether in terms of constructing new ones, expanding the existing ones to accommodate more worshipers, or making greater amenities available to them. All this is besides the efforts made to turn mosques into a place of religious discourse to tackle extremism, violence, and intolerance. The Arab and Muslim worlds are truly in need of such efforts considering the critical phase we are passing through.

The atmosphere of joy and happiness experienced by the people of the UAE, citizens and residents alike, during Eid festivities and their keenness to enjoy such blessed days, is the result of stability enjoyed by the country and the atmosphere of safety and security experienced by all. It is this tranquility in the soul that builds confidence for the present and the future. We wish our wise leadership all the best. We wish our dear Emirates to always enjoy progress and prosperity. May Allah make all your days happy this year and in all years to come.
