Khalifa Campaign Gains Popularity on Social Media

As soon as His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, launched a Twitter hashtag ‘Thankyou_Khalifa’ (in Arabic), in recognition of the touching efforts and initiatives of the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Emiratis took to social media networks in an unprecedented way to express their absolute allegiance and loyalty to the wise leadership, the Emirates Centre for Strategic Studies and Research (ECSSR) has said.
“Brothers and sisters, we usually cancel celebrations of my accession day on January 4, and instead launch campaigns to honour and thank certain segments of society. This year will be dedicated to expressing our profound gratitude and thanks to Shaikh Khalifa, in recognition of his efforts,” Shaikh Mohammed said in a statement on his Twitter account.
In its editorial, the ECSSR daily bulletin Akhbar Al Sa’a (News of the Hour) stated: ThankYou, Khalifa holds special significance in the hearts and minds of the UAE people and embodies their sincere feelings of love and gratitude towards the leader of the development march, who sets the welfare and well being of his citizens at the top of his priorities, directing all his resolutions and policies towards one goal: make his people happy and improve their living standards and quality of life.
Shaikh Khalifa works calmly, without noise, follows up closely and is hard working. His work is based on great work values. Values of loving his people, following up their conditions, he is loved by all, his high qualities and wisdom of his mind and far-sighted, Shaikh Mohammed said.
Shaikh Mohammed’s insightful words embody the true historic leadership under which countries can develop and prosper to the highest ranks of dignity, development and progress and under which people feel assured of their present and future and achieve security, stability and social peace.
No doubt, Shaikh Khalifa’s actions speak volumes about his love for his people, his keenness to implement policies and resolutions that serve their interests and his direct interaction with his people to understand and respond to their needs, the bulletin added in an editorial titled “Message of all UAE People to Leader of the March”.
The initiative, the bulletin noted, is a message from the UAE people to their leader as well as to the whole world that the UAE is strong by its unity and is moving ahead confidently and steadily to deliver its ambitions.
The formula of progress of nations lies with the bond of love and regards between the ruler and his people, a relationship that is deeply grounded in the UAE history since the era of the late founding father, Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who established a school of politics and governance that is still providing the source of inspiration for all those seeking secrets of success, development and progress of nations, the ECSSR bulletin concluded.
