The Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research (ECSSR) hosted ID WORLD Abu Dhabi 2014, which was endorsed by the Emirates Identity Authority and the European Commission. The event, which was the seventh annual EMEA Summit on the strategic role of identification, was organized by Wise Media on 24-25 February 2014. Ministers and government officials from seven countries, representatives of the United Nations and the Interpol, and delegates from 35 countries around the world took part in the Summit. The Summit focused on the strategic role of ID in the future development of ICT infrastructures.
