His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, received today at Al Remaila Palace Dr. Jamal Sanad Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Emirates Centre for Strategic Studies and Research (ECSSR), who presented to him a copy of his recently released book 'The Mirage'.

Sheikh Hamad discussed with Dr. Al Suwaidi the latest developments in the Arab world and the Middle East, as well as the role played by the UAE, under the wise leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan in maintaining regional security and stability.

Sheikh Hamad praised the role played by the ECSSR as a think-tank that supports the country's decision making process and boosts the comprehensive development drive through new ideas and build national capabilities in the intellectual, academic and scientific fields.

He also lauded Dr. Al Suwaidi's intellectual contributions which, he said, present strategic views and innovative solutions to different issues of concern.

He added that the release of 'The Mirage' was well-timed as it elucidates facts about the groups that exploit Islam to reach their own goals.
