The Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research (ECSSR) hosted a workshop on ‘Females as Entrepreneurs: Overcoming the Obstacles.’ The workshop was organized by Department of Economic Development in Abu Dhabi, Konrad Adenauer Stiftung and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).

The workshop was opened by German Ambassador to the UAE, H.E. Nikolai von Schöpff. The UAE Minister of State, H.E. Dr. Maitha Al Shamsi, delivered the keynote address. The workshop covered many important issues related to the obstacles women entrepreneurs face, including legal issues, training of skills, financial support and social empowerment.
