The Emirati- Chinese Business & Communication Conference

The Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research (ECSSR) organized The Emirati- Chinese Business & Communication Conference (ECBCC) on May 30, 2011 in cooperation with Zayed University. The day-long conference was held at the ECSSR headquarters in Abu Dhabi.
The objective of the conference was to address the UAE-China relationship in the fields of business and communications and discuss ways to strengthen and develop this relationship. The conference aimed at creating a conducive environment for businessmen from both the sides and help them develop basic techniques to manage businesses.
Several business and communication topics of relevance to the future of UAE-China relations were also discussed during the conference. This included areas such as competitive strategy, joint ventures, technology transfers as well as business ethics and communications.
His Excellency Dr. Jamal Sanad Al-Suwaidi, the Director General of ECSSR, stressed the importance of convening this conference and called it an indicator of the strong relationship between the UAE and China. His Excellency said that the resilience of this relationship is evident in the growing trade, cultural and educational ties between the two countries. Dr. Al-Suwaidi referred to the opening of the first Chinese School in the region in Abu Dhabi last year as a major example of this strengthening partnership.
