As part of the lecture series held to mark the 25th
year of the Federation, the speaker discussed how
instability in today’s world may greatly affect the Gulf
region, especially since decisions of a world power
such as the US have played a major role in many of
the regional struggles. It is therefore important for
the UAE to attempt to coordinate the various stances
when confronting different regional security issues.
Russia and India were two other countries on which
he focused and placed great emphasis, in terms of
regional power and potential impact on the UAE.
