Prospective Policies of the New US Administration in the Gulf and the Middle East

Based on his experience as ambassador to a number of
Arab countries, as an official in the State Department,
and as the president of the Middle East Institute, the
speaker explained his view of future American policies
toward the Middle East over the short to medium
terms, with reference to the rapid unfolding of events
in the region, especially on the level of the Palestinian–
Israeli peace process and the situation in the Arab
Gulf region. The discussion after the lecture revealed
the speaker’s intimate knowledge of the Gulf and the
Middle East situation.
