The interaction of Britain with the Middle East goes
back a long way—especially with the UAE, which has
maintained relations with Britain for over a century
and a half and reflects a good example of political,
commercial and cultural relations.
The speaker talked about peace, prosperity and
progress and he stressed that states enjoying domestic
stability and peace with their neighbors are able to
create a better life for their citizens and establish a strong
economic and social base.
He pointed out that the UAE, under the leadership
of HH Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, is the perfect
testament to this.
