The Khalifa bin Zayed Initiative: the Knight of Environment and Sustainability is a new book that promotes awareness of environmental affairs. It is the first book that looks at environmental protection and sustainability efforts from a purely developmental perspective.

The book consists of five chapters that cover the UAE’s strategy aimed at achieving environmental security and sustainability. It deals with several important issues such as environmental protection, consistent with His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s vision, environmental strategy in the UAE and laws and regulations designed to protect the environment. The book also looks at the UAE’s public, private and volunteering organizations that promote and support environmental efforts. In addition, it examines human development following His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s vision, taking into consideration the safe industrial boom in the UAE.

Furthermore, the book covers key strategic topics in relation to the provision of water in the UAE and highlights the role of the government in preserving and increasing water resources. In fact, the decision of the UAE’s wise leadership to establish a ministry for climate change and the environment in the country acknowledges the UAE’s pioneering initiative in development and environmental protection.

The book also addresses the UAE’s youth, the country’s future leaders, as well as the federation’s important role in promoting the values of loyalty and belonging, as well as protecting the country’s sovereignty and integrity.

The Khalifa bin Zayed Initiative: the Knight of Environment and Sustainability is an intellectual, academic and scholarly work that documents the UAE’s environmental efforts over half a century, which have developed the UAE into a global model in excellence and environmental achievements.
