Coinciding with the Launch of the UAE Federation Library’s Remote Services Jamal Sanad Al-Suwaidi: The ECSSR Will Remain a Hub for All Knowledge Seekers
- 22 March 2020
In line with precautionary measures adopted by the UAE to protect the public from the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), while maintaining its efforts to facilitate access to knowledge, the ECSSR’s UAE Federation Library has launched a suite of services that enable remote access to information for all users of the site.
The Library’s portal (http://elibrary.ecssr.ae) comprises more than five million digital resources that can be accessed for free, to enhance the exchange of knowledge for all interested in studying academic texts and books that cover a variety of subjects in Arabic and English.
His Excellency Prof. Jamal Sanad Al-Suwaidi, Director General of the ECSSR, said that these services come as part of the Center’s continuous efforts to adopt measures consistent with government guidelines that ensure the health and safety of members of UAE society. This has been achieved without impacting the ability of students and researchers to access knowledge, references and information that enhance the scientific and academic quality of their studies. His Excellency stressed that the Center will remain an incubator for researchers looking for sources of knowledge.
In order to register on the Library’s digital portal, please email email@example.com or call the Library on +971 2 404 4780/781 and provide them with the required details.
The UAE Federation Library was established, alongside the ECSSR, in 1994. It is one of the largest libraries in the region and offers its services to the public, as well as to leading international researchers. The library features more than half a million printed titles, covering political, economic, military, security and social subjects, as well as issues of interest to experts, researchers and students in all academic areas and specializations.
