Al Suwaidi: Extremist Organisations Seek to Undermine Security and Stability of Countries

Clandestine extremist organisations which operate illegally and secretly and states are unable to identify their sources of funds, organisation structures and activities, seek to undermine the society and perpetrate conspiracies to totally destroy statehood, the Director General of the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research (ECSSR), Dr. Jamal Sanad Al Suwaidi, has warned.

"These organisations, by nature, always seek to carry out coup d'etats as they are not capable of coping with normal and sound environments. This is because their exclusionary thought does not believe in others for any possible cooperation and therefore only sees the interests of the organisation and is restricted to the perspective of the "guidance office", Al Suwaidi said in an interview with the Abu Dhabi-based Alwatan newspaper.

"The guidance office" in any country seeks to overthrow the government, to undermine legitimacy, security and stability and to channel available financial resources to serve this thought and to implement its agendas, both locally and internationally, he remarked.

The director general of the Abu Dhabi-based think tank noted that the secret illegal organisation which was exposed in the UAE, has ties with the Muslim Brotherhood has structures that are similar to the institutional structures of states, as well as specialised groups and officials, all preparing secretly to seize power in case governments are overthrown.
