Akhbar Al Sa'a: UAE continues to support Yemen

  • 22 July 2015

Akhbar Al Sa'a, the News of the Hour Bulletin, has affirmed that the UAE government and people's support for Yemen is one of the constant principles of the United Arab Emirates and its wise leadership, which spares no effort in providing all aspects of assistance in order to overcome the difficult conditions taking place at the moment.

Under the headline, "UAE's continuous support to Yemen", the bulletin, issued by the Emirates Centre for Strategic Studies and Research, ECSSR, said that when His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, earlier this year confirmed that "our only choice is triumph in the Yemen issue for the benefit of Arabs and the region", it was clearly expressing this principle, which not only aims to help Yemen to overcome the challenges it faces at all levels, but to work on its rehabilitation to exercise its natural role in the Arab and Gulf region.

The Bulletin stressed that the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan on the need to work to provide the necessary demands of food and medicine to affected people in the areas of clashes have had a great impact in alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people, whereby the UAE is keen to politically support the legitimate government in Yemen, represented by President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi, and reiterated on many occasions the importance of the resumption of the political process in accordance with Security Council Resolution No. 2216, the Gulf initiative and the results of the comprehensive National Dialogue, out of its keenness to preserve the unity and safety of Yemen.

The Bulletin pointed out that the UAE's continued support for Yemen reflects the strategic aspirations of the country's foreign policy, which is to support all that would promote stability and development in all Arab countries without exception, following the firm approach of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and under the wise leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The Bulletin concluded its editorial by saying that the Yemeni President's statements have recently expressed this positive image when he praised the UAE's wise leadership represented by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and its permanent and continuous stand alongside Yemen in various stages and conditions, and the leadership's support in order to overcome Yemen's current crisis and challenges.
