ECSSR provides equipment to its journalists and media staff to monitor:

Daily political, economic, military, and social events and developments that are of particular significance to UAE national security by covering five main research areas: the United Arab Emirates, the GCC countries, the Arab world, the European Union and the US, and Asian countries.
Available sources of information and television news programs and talk shows related to political, military, and social subjects at the local, regional, and international levels. This unit documents and archives such news covering the five main circles of research mentioned above.
